HOW TO MASK BASED ON YOUR SKIN TYPE

ARE CLAY MASKS SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

Yes, they certainly are! While some might think that clay masks are drying and can only be used on oily or acne-prone skin, clay actually has an abundance of benefits that can effectively treat different skin types and concerns, from removing dead skin cells and unclogging blocked pores, to drawing out toxins and impurities.

The great thing about our Banana Replenishing Clay Mask and Pineapple Detoxifying Clay Mask is that they come in powder form so you can easily customise the formula to suit your skin needs and can be applied on the face or hair.

Read on below for the ingredients we recommend blending with our clay masks based on your skin type.

Normal Skin

To refresh normal skin, mix our Pineapple Detoxifying Clay Mask with raw honey, maple syrup, milk, yogurt, or purified water. Any of these ingredients will balance and renew your complexion.

For that extra nutrient boost, add a few drops of our Pineapple Brightening Toner and/or our Guava Revitalising Oil in the mixture. You can also massage the oil into your face/hair after rinsing off the mask to lock in all the nourishing vitamins from the clay.

Oily Skin

To absorb excess sebum from oily skin, mix our Pineapple Detoxifying Clay Mask with purified water. The water will activate the clay's healing properties.

For that extra nutrient boost, add a few drops of our Pineapple Brightening Toner and/or our Guava Revitalising Oil in the mixture. You can also massage the oil into your face/hair after rinsing off the mask to lock in all the nourishing vitamins from the clay.

Dry Skin

To hydrate and soothe dry skin, mix our Banana Replenishing Clay Mask with raw honey or maple syrup. These are natural humectants, meaning they retain and preserve moisture.

For that extra nutrient boost, add a few drops of our Mango Purifying Toner and/or our Papaya Clarifying Oil in the mixture. You can also massage the oil into your face/hair after rinsing off the mask to lock in all the nourishing vitamins from the clay.

Combination Skin

To exfoliate and decongest combination skin, mix our Banana Replenishing Clay Mask with yogurt or milk (dairy or non-dairy). These act as natural exfoliants, containing lactic acid to help remove any dead skin cells.

For that extra nutrient boost, add a few drops of our Mango Purifying Toner and/or our Papaya Clarifying Oil in the mixture. You can also massage the oil into your face/hair after rinsing off the mask to lock in all the nourishing vitamins from the clay.

IMPORTANT NOTETo fully reap the benefits of a clay mask, make sure you blend the powder mixture in a wooden or ceramic bowl with a non-metal spoon/mixer. Using metal will negatively react with the clay and reduce its healing properties.
